Full information will follow closer to the event. Brief initial details follow:
The conference will be held at Cober Hill, a hotel on the edge of Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast. Scarborough has been a seaside tourist resort since the 1600s and remains popular today, though we will be there out of "season". There are direct rail links to Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool, and the nearest airports (Leeds Bradford, Robin Hood near Doncaster / Sheffield, Durham Tees Valley and Newcastle) all have regular train and bus connections to the Yorkshire Coast, as does Manchester Airport (slightly further away). The train station is a bus ride away from the venue (details will be posted here a short time before the conference), and we are intending to put on a free minibus from the train station at the start and end of the conference (details to follow). There is free car parking available at the venue.

We have exclusive use of the hotel and extensive grounds during the conference. The hotel is roughly 20 minutes walk away from the nearest beach.
Partners, children and dogs are welcome at the conference, but will need booking as "extra items" while booking your main ticket. We can arrange rooms for extra nights (subject to availability) if you want to come and spend extra time on the gorgeous Yorkshire coast.
Details of the conference social events (both evenings) will follow, but at the moment we intend to put on a cider tasting (partly from apples grown at the hotel) the first evening and a dance (Celidh?) the second night. Both will be informal - no dress code!
